๐ Driving test booking myth: all test slots are released at 6am on Monday mornings
You may have heard that 6am on a Monday is the time to be online if you want to get a driving test.
It's only half the story.
Here's what's actually true:
๐
The DVSA does release a new week of driving test appointments at 6am every Monday (including bank holidays), but these are appointments 24 weeks in the future, not earlier test slots.
๐ Earlier appointments, the ones you're probably looking for, are not released at 6am on Mondays. They can become available at any time during the week, for example when another learner cancels or changes their test.
๐ฑ DVSA can't notify you when an earlier appointment becomes available, so if you're looking for an earlier test, you'll need to check the booking system yourself.
โฐ The booking service is open from 6am to 11:40pm, 7 days a week.
So, if you're looking for an earlier test, there's no need to feel that you have to be online at 6am every Monday. Earlier appointments can appear throughout the week.
๐ If you're currently looking for a driving test, the DVSA's full guidance is worth a read:

Feel free to share this with anyone currently learning to drive or waiting for their test. ๐
