Location: Paisley | Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £27,040 – £41,600 per year (DOE)

C&D Grant (Motor Engineers) Ltd is a large and busy independent garage based in Paisley, and we’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our friendly and professional team.

We carry out MOTs, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), offering variety and hands-on work every day.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:
Performing servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on a wide variety of vehicles

Using your initiative to problem solve and complete jobs efficiently

Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety

✅ What We’re Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds qualification (or equivalent)

Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role

Full UK driving licence (clean)

Own tools required

Good attitude, team player, and strong work ethic

Diagnostic experience and confidence using modern tools

Right to work in the UK (we are not offering visa sponsorship)

Monday to Friday work week (40 hours) + every second Saturday

C&D Grant(Motor Engineers) Ltd are looking for a Vehicle Technician to join our team. We are a large and busy independent garage in Paisley carrying out MOT testing, service and repairs on a wide variety of makes and models of car and LCV.

You will be expected to carry out servicing & repairs in a timely manner using best practices, use own initiative to problem solve to reach satisfactory conclusion.

Key requirements for the role:

NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds or equivalent
At least 10 years experience
Must have valid UK work authorisation - Our company is not offering work sponsorship or visa.
Full UK Clean driving Licence
Own tools
Positive approach/ working attitude
Good time keeping
Diagnostic understanding and experience
Ability to work well in a team
Good house keeping
The working week is 40 hours, Monday to Friday and every second Saturday. Enhanced rate is payed for Saturday working and any additional overtime.

30 days holiday per year including statutory.

Work wear provided.
