One of our fleet customers brought their minibus to us with a coolant leak. After carrying out a pressure test on the cooling system, we quickly traced the fault to a leaking water pump.

The water pump was allowing coolant to escape, which could have led to further issues if left unchecked.

βœ… Supplied and fitted a brand-new water pump
βœ… Refilled and tested the cooling system
βœ… Vehicle repaired and back on the road the very same day

Rate of pay - Β£19-Β£20 per Hour (depending on experience/MOT tester)

We are a busy garage based in Linwood and are looking to recruit a fully qualified, reliable, hard-working Mechanic to join our close-knit team.
You will be expected to work unsupervised on their own initiative but should also be able to work well with colleagues as part of our team.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.00 pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

*MOT ticket
* vehicle diagnostic skills
* A relevant industry qualification (desirable)
* Own your own tools
* A full UK driving licence (desirable)
* The ability to interact with our customers effectively
* Experience of working in a team

This customer brought their vehicle in for an MOT and full service.

Good news β€” it passed its MOT with no issues βœ…
However, during the service, we stripped and inspected the rear brakes and noticed one brake pad was wearing much thinner than the other ⚠️

We replaced the brake pads there and then, getting the vehicle safely back on the road πŸš—

By catching this early, we prevented further damage and saved the brake discs, meaning only the pads needed replacing β€” saving the customer money πŸ’°
