Please check your fuel cap seal! Your car can fail on a MOT because of this!
If you look at the fuel cap around the edge can see a rubber ring. If it is cracked, split, missing or damaged you will need to replace it. This can be check when filling your car up or in your own time, it only takes 30 seconds to check.
If this is cracked or etc you can purchase these using your reg and going online search for fuel cap seal (or fuel cap o ring) always make sure you are ordering the correct one for your Vehicle and some company’s you can call and they will cross check using your registration to make sure you are ordering the right one. These only cost a couple of quid (on most cars not all) and can be changed at home. If you are unsure or do not feel comftable changing them I am more than happy to help

- Can NOT be tinted
- Space and lettering is correct exspecailly on personalised number plates
- Correct font
- Must have suppliers name
- Must have manufacturer/BS number
- Logos or emblems outside the minimum margin
- Damage to number plates can fail
- Make sure your number plates are secure

Please remember if you are going away for Christmas holidays and you are driving and you do not have time to book in for a free check please check your:
- Tyres and tyre pressures
- Oil level
- Coolant
- Washer fluid and working correctly
- All lights work
- You can check using the government website that your MOT is still valid. Link is down below 👇🏻

I understand road conditions are not great at the moment and it’s off roading season but please keep in mind that I can NOT test a vehicle when it is covered in thick mud as it hides areas I need to test/see.

Every tester/station has this rule to follow. Please keep this in mind. I understand cars won’t be super clean but we can refuse a test if dirt is bad.
