The name Shannon means 'Possessor of Wisdom' apparently. Well, she certainly knew enough about driving to nail a 1st time pass this morning with only ONE minor fault recorded! She's now also the possessor of a shiny new driving licence!!

Northern Ireland becomes the first part of the UK to introduce new rules for new drivers in a bid to reduce fatal road crashes involving young people.

🚗 Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) launches tomorrow. 🚙

🤔 Why is it needed? 👇🏽

Passing your driving test is an important milestone, but the first months and years behind the wheel are when drivers gain much of their real-world experience.

Young drivers are disproportionately represented in fatal and serious road traffic collisions. GDL has been introduced to support learner and newly qualified drivers during this higher-risk period, helping them build skills, experience and confidence safely.

By taking a phased approach to learning and driving, GDL aims to make our roads safer for everyone.
