🏆 TWO NATIONAL FINALS. ONE TEAM. A JOURNEY WE’RE PROUD OF.🏆

We might be a couple of weeks late in sharing the news, but some things are worth shouting about, and this is definitely one of them!

We’re incredibly proud to announce that JGG Automotive has been named a finalist in two categories at the 2026 Top Awards!

🔧 Top Garage 2026 — 4–6 Employees

❤️ BEN Workplace Health & Wellbeing Award

Having won the Top Garage award in our category last year, and been finalists for the BEN Workplace Health & Wellbeing Award too, we were already honoured to receive that recognition. To be finalists again this year is something we’re equally proud of.

But for us, this is about much more than awards.

No business grows, learns or improves on its own.

Every member of the JGG team, past and present, has played a part in helping us get to where we are today. Everyone has contributed something through their skills, ideas, experience, challenges and the lessons we’ve learned together.

As JGG has grown, we’ve continually developed our skills, refined our processes and found better ways of doing things. Sometimes that has meant learning from our successes, sometimes learning from things that haven't gone as planned, but always looking for ways to improve.

That journey continues to shape JGG today.

We’re proud of the technical standards we strive for, but we're just as proud of the team behind them and the workplace we’re working to build. We know there is always more to learn, and we want to keep creating an environment where people can develop, support one another and take pride in what they do.

To our current team, everyone who has been part of JGG along the way, and our customers who continue to put their trust in us

These milestones wouldn't mean the same without you.

We’re looking forward to the finals on 14 November, but whatever the outcome, being recognised in both categories is an achievement in itself, and one we’re genuinely grateful for.

🔧 **WHY WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY**

GOOD DIAGNOSIS STARTS WITH GOOD INFORMATION

Before we connect any diagnostic equipment, we want to understand the problem from the customer's perspective.

That's why our FOH diagnostic check sheet asks questions such as:

• Does the vehicle have a warranty?
• What type of problem is it?
• Are there any warning lights illuminated?
• When does the fault occur?
• How long has the fault been present?
• Has anyone previously tried to repair the fault?
• Has anyone read or cleared fault codes recently?
• Has the vehicle been modified or remapped?
• Is there anything else you think might help us?

These might seem like simple questions, but the answers can be extremely important.

For example, knowing that a fault only happens when the engine is hot, under acceleration, at a particular speed or intermittently can completely change the direction of a diagnostic investigation.

The customer's description is often the first piece of evidence we have.

From there, our technician can use the appropriate diagnostic equipment, live data, electrical testing, wiring diagrams, technical information and other testing methods to establish what is actually happening.

**We don't just want to know what the fault code says.**

We want to understand the problem, reproduce it, test it and identify the cause.

So when we ask questions, we're not just filling in paperwork.

🔧 **WHY WE DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY**

Why don't we fit customer-supplied parts?

We understand why some customers want to supply their own parts. Sometimes they can find something cheaper online.

But there's more to fitting a part than whether it physically fits the vehicle.

We need to know:

✔️ Is it the correct specification?
✔️ Is it the correct quality?
✔️ Is it compatible with the vehicle?
✔️ Is it the correct part for the specific application?
✔️ Has it been supplied with everything required to fit it?

If a part fails, is incorrect or causes another problem, it can also become difficult to establish where the responsibility lies.

When JGG Automotive supplies the parts, we know exactly what we're fitting and can stand behind the complete repair.

That doesn't mean the most expensive part is always the right part.

It means we use the **right part, from a supplier we trust, for the job we're carrying out.**

Because a repair isn't just about fitting a part.

**It's about fixing the vehicle properly.**

❤️ **WE DID IT! £522.56 RAISED FOR BEN!** ❤️

From all of us at JGG Automotive, a huge thank you to everyone who supported our very first BEN Big Breakfast. Whether you came along on the day, donated prizes, contributed food, helped behind the scenes or simply shared our event, you helped make this happen.

Together, we raised an incredible **£522.56 for BEN**, and we couldn't be happier with that result! 👏

But why does this matter so much?

BEN supports the people behind the automotive industry and their families through life's challenges, offering practical, emotional, financial and wellbeing support when it's needed most. The automotive industry can be demanding, and sometimes the people who spend their days looking after everyone else's vehicles need someone looking after them, too.

That's why charities like BEN are so important. They help make sure that nobody in our industry has to face life's toughest moments alone.

For our first event of this kind, the support we've received has been genuinely overwhelming.

This is what happens when a community comes together for something that matters.

**£522.56 is something we can all be proud of, and every penny will help support a very worthwhile cause.**

This was our first BEN fund raiser, but it certainly won't be our last!

Next time, we're going BIGGER for BEN! 💪❤️

❤️ **BEN’S BIG BREAKFAST — WHAT A DAY!** ❤️

A huge thank you to absolutely everyone who came along to support our very first BEN Big Breakfast at JGG Automotive today!

When you organise something like this for the first time, there’s always that little nagging doubt in the back of your mind… *“What if nobody turns up?”* 😅

Well, thankfully, that wasn’t something we needed to worry about! We’ve been genuinely overwhelmed by the support shown today, and it’s incredible to know that together we’ve raised some fantastic money for such an important charity. We’ll share the final total as soon as everything has been counted and confirmed. ❤️

**But there is one group of people who deserve a very special thank you… our team.** 👏

They gave up their day off, turned up in force, rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into whatever needed doing to make sure the day ran as smoothly as possible. That level of commitment, teamwork and willingness to help means more to us than we can put into words. We are truly grateful to have them.

Of course, a massive thank you also goes to everyone who donated prizes, contributed food, helped with the organisation, spread the word, turned up on the day or supported us in any way, shape or form. Every single contribution helped make this event what it was.

BEN does incredibly important work supporting people across the automotive industry when they need it most, and being able to give something back as a community is what today was all about.

This was our first event of this kind, but **it certainly won’t be our last!** 💪

❤️ **WHY BEN’S BIG BREAKFAST MATTERS TO US AT JGG AUTOMOTIVE** ❤️

Most people know us as JGG Automotive, but being part of the motor trade is about much more than fixing cars.

It's about the people who work in this industry every day, and that's where **Ben, the automotive industry charity, makes such an important difference.**

🔧 **So, who are Ben?**

Ben is a charity dedicated to supporting people who work, or have worked, in the automotive industry and their families.

From technicians in workshops and apprentices starting their careers to service advisors, parts staff and people working across the wider motor trade, Ben is there when life gets difficult.

They provide support with mental health, physical health, money worries and many of the challenges that life can throw at us.

Because sometimes, the people who spend their days helping others need a little help themselves. ❤️

**And that's why this matters to us.**

Working in the motor trade can be rewarding, but we all know it can bring its own pressures. Long hours, demanding jobs and the challenges of everyday life can take their toll.

Not everyone finds it easy to talk about what they're going through, and not everyone knows where to turn when things get tough.

Ben helps make sure that support is there when people need it most.

☕ **So, what can we do to help?**

On Sunday 18th October, we're hosting **Ben's Big Breakfast at JGG Automotive**, and we'd love you to be part of it!

We're opening our doors to our customers, families, friends and the local community to enjoy a morning together and raise money for a cause that means so much to our industry.
