Thinking of the image I want to create always comes first and then the drawing. The next step is always finding a donor bike that’s cheap enough to tear apart and create something unique. I never was very nostalgic and never had a desire to complete a restoration build. The bikes I build are my idea of what’s cool and unique, some people like them, some don’t. Another busy day in the workshop! 🔧

Today we’ve got three frames and their associated parts ready for blasting and ready for the next stage of their restorations:

🏍️ Triumph T140
🏍️ Honda CB400 Café Racer

Blasting is a crucial step in the restoration process, removing years of paint, rust, and grime to reveal a clean surface ready for inspection, repairs, and refinishing.

🏍️ A True Piece of History in the Workshop 🏍️

Terry has entrusted us with his family’s cherished Matchless G3L engine, which has been passed down through generations and holds a special place in his family’s history.

Our task is to carry out a complete engine rebuild and have it running perfectly on the bench, whilst carefully preserving its original paint and patina. We believe the marks, wear, and character it has gained over the years are all part of its story.
What makes this project even more remarkable is that this engine was manufactured during the Second World War, making it a genuine piece of motorcycling and military history.

We’re looking forward to bringing this historic engine back to life while maintaining the authenticity that makes it so special.
Stay tuned as we document the rebuild process and share its journey from workshop bench to running once again.

We’re incredibly pleased (and very grateful!) to say that we are extremely busy here at Kustom Choppers Limited. Due to the high volume of bookings, we are now pushing availability for new major modifications projects and full custom builds to August 2026.

👉 We are still fully open for:
✅ Servicing
✅ Repairs
✅ Diagnostics

During this period, no new projects for major modifications or full custom builds will be undertaken until August 2026.

We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support — it’s because of you that we’re this busy.

If you would like to discuss your requirements or secure a future booking, please send us a message. Bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.

Our workshop will be temporarily on hold while we take some well-earned time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the sunshine. We’ll be back in 2 weeks, refreshed and ready to get stuck back into the builds!

We originally completed this build for him last spring, so it was great to have it back in the workshop again. Always good seeing our previous builds still being enjoyed and kept road ready.
