🚗🚙 Collection & Delivery – Important Update 🚗🚙
We offer vehicle collection which happens between 9am–11am.
This service is chargeable, as it requires two members of staff and takes a significant amount of time out of the morning schedule.
Once collected, your vehicle is placed straight into the day’s diary for the day’s work.

❗ MOT Dangerous Failures
If your vehicle fails its MOT on dangerous defects and you choose not to proceed with the repairs, we will not be able to deliver the vehicle back to you.

This is because:
A dangerous MOT failure is legally unroadworthy
We cannot drive or transport a vehicle that has been deemed unsafe
Doing so would breach DVSA regulations and invalidate insurance
Recovery of a dangerous vehicle must be arranged by the owner
Your vehicle will remain on-site until you arrange recovery.

📅 All Other Vehicles
All other vehicles will be returned by 5pm the same working day, unless otherwise advised.

🚗🚕FUN FACT FRIDAY!🚗🚕
Mechanic or Auto Electrician... what’s the difference? 🤔
A mechanic might be brilliant with the oily bits 🔧
An Auto Electrician specialises in finding problems hiding in the wiring, circuits, sensors, ECUs and vehicle electronics. ⚡
Think wiring diagrams, multimeters, oscilloscopes and CAN bus systems. It’s a specialist area of vehicle diagnostics.
Good job Garnham and Cook now has an Auto Electrician on site! 😉⚡

🚗🚚 Why Do We Charge for Collection & Delivery? 🚚🚗

At Garnham & Cook, we understand that taking time out of your day to drop off and collect your vehicle isn't always easy.

That's why we offer a convenient collection and delivery service, helping you keep your vehicle maintained without disrupting your schedule.

However, providing this service does involve:

✅ A member of staff travelling to collect and return your vehicle
✅ Fuel and vehicle running costs
✅ Insurance cover whilst your vehicle is in our care
✅ Time spent away from the workshop

To keep our pricing fair and transparent, we charge:

🔹 £5 Collection & Delivery when booked alongside a Service and MOT
🔹 £10 Collection & Delivery when booked for an MOT only

We believe this represents excellent value for a door-to-door service and helps us continue providing the high standards of customer care our customers expect.

No hidden costs. No surprises. Just convenient, professional service from your local garage.

Fun Fact Friday:
Your diesel’s DPF can only regenerate when the engine is fully up to temperature.
That means 20–30 minutes of steady driving, not school‑run stop‑start.
If you only do short journeys, the DPF never gets the chance to clean itself.
