Volvo XC90 in for an engine light issue! 💡

We quickly identified the Swirl flap motor was not up to much, after further investigation we found clear signs of carbon buildup but not too surprising after 170k miles!

Intake manifold removed, Swirl flaps removed & everything cleaned up to an acceptable level, Intake manifold gasket replaced, swirl flaps refitted, new Swirl flap motor & link arm fitted gets this old girl back on the road to clear some more miles!

Got a light on the dash? 🚨🚨

SQ5 Gearbox service completed recently for our customer who was not buying Audis recommendation that his gearbox oil was sealed for life !

And we don't blame him ! ❌

As reliable and bulletproof the ZF gearboxes are they still need a little bit of love from time to time and as you can see this one was no different !

After dropping the oil & gearbox sump revealed the importance of oil changes even if they are advised to be sealed for life !

A fresh filter, seal, oil & all new bolts gets this lovely SQ5 back on the road !

We have plenty of experience with any brand of vehicle but when it comes to the Volkswagen Audi group we have unrivaled knowledge and experience so don't hope the garage you are taking it too knows, bring it straight to the experts!

Walnut Blasting 💥

What is Walnut Blasting ? 🤔🤔

It Is the procedure of using crushed walnut shells shot at high pressure to clean the intake system & back of the intake valves. 🧼🧼

As you can see from the before and after of the picture below it is an extremely effective way of cleaning the intake system bringing it back to almost brand new increasing the efficiency of your engine!!

Not only does to prolong the life of your engine it will improve the efficiency helping you get more miles per gallon!

If you have a higher mileage car or feel like your car is feeling sluggish then this could be ideal for you !!!

Don't overlook your drivetrain service intervals ! 🫵

We carried out a Haldex oil change and as you can see it has been overdue for some time !

This is seen all too often and the consequences can be costly !

The same goes for your DSG gearbox service intervals, Ignore the at your peril ! We have seen gearboxes overdue by 10 miles fail because they have missed the service interval ! 🤯🤯

We have access to VAG main dealer online service history so your services can be logged on the Manufacturers own service history, much the same we can update BMW/Mini service history on the vehicles IDrive.
