2012 Audi A4 2.0Tdi full timing belt kit and water pump replacement. Also customer complaint of intermittent clutch slip and smell. Removal of gearbox shows overheated centre plate and scorching on flywheel. Possibly failing pressure plate or previous owner driving causing failure as vehicle only covered 42,000 miles.

Replacement of timing chain kit including sprockets. Common fault usually around 50/60,000 miles however this one only covered 32,000 miles and rattled only on start up. Customer requested replacement anyway. Sump removal was done to prevent strain to oil pump. Also carried out oil change.

2009 Vauxhall Insignia Vxr EML light on and loss of power. Traced fault codes to incorrect cam/crank sync. Strip down confirmed excessive play on secondary timing chain. Replaced all 3 chains, tensioners, guide rails and required seals/gaskets. Performance returned with EML light remaining off.

2005 Audi A4 2.0 Tdi with oil pressure warning light flashing on fast idle and loss of brake servo assistance. Worn oil pump hexagonal drive pinion prone to wear causing no drive from balance shaft to oil pump. Even minimal use usually causes turbocharger failure due to no oil pressure.
