I thought it was about time to add a wee update to show you all what we have been up to over the past year..
Almost a year ago we closed down in Kirkcaldy and moved to Glenrothes.
It was very hard work but we are slowly recovering and most things are back to normal.
We now have a nice little waiting room to wait on those smaller jobs.
Kitchen ,Toilet and stores are all sorted out ( although stock isn't )
2 out of 3 ramps are operational.
Best of all we have mk2 wood burner installed for those chilly mornings.

The year has been entertaining to say the least
We have had some time to fix cars as well
from saving Saab's to VW T4's... Capri's to Jaguars.... mini's and Mazda MX5's to American muscle and the odd Massey 135 tractor.

Don't forget to give us a call if you need your car looked at from a minor service to a full restoration, we will get you sorted out !

We still have much organising and tool finding to do but we are opening and currently have just found our diary.
If you have been waiting on us .. Thank you ..
It's now time to get in touch and book your car in again.
We are still on the same phone number (even though the mobile signal is fairly bad in the area but we are working on that) so get in touch and we will get you on the move again.

It's official.. We have keys to our new place.. The floor is now painted.. let the drying commence..
We have had to stop working for the foreseeable future and start to pull our old place apart.
Soon as we can we will start transferring tools, machines, materials, and all other related stuff that we find.... and there is lots of it..!
Building new structures and setting up is priority now so we can get back to work and keep all our customers mobile.
Keep an eye on our page and we will keep everyone updated here.

We are Moving...!
As you all may be aware.. but now is the time to say we have found ourselves a unit in Glenrothes.. ( location address will be announced soon)
Lots to do before we can move in, so we are going to be rather busy in the coming weeks\months.

Work will carry on for as long as possible (into December ) then all hell will break loose as we try to move as quickly and cleanly as possible .
There will be a time when we are completely closed and cannot work on vehicles but we are trying to keep this to a minimum. So if you need some scheduled work done please get in touch and we will try get it all sorted before we have to temporarily close and move

We have been overwhelmed by offers of help .. it means a lot to us..

Just a quick update as we are asked often about our impending move..
Yes we still have to move out and find new premises..
No we don't have anywhere organised yet..

We do have a glimmer of hope ...a small candle has been lit at the end of the tunnel so if everything lines up correctly we will have somewhere to move into eventually.
We are not giving much away yet as it's a long shot at the moment
We are still open 4 days a week and working, whilst tidying and packing on Fridays(although you can still contact us to book or collect jobs)

Well folks it's been a good run in our old unit but sadly we have been asked to move out.
Due to insurance reasons of a working car garage being in the middle of other units within the complex.
The new building owners have been Great and we really don't want to leave but we have no choice.

So we are currently looking frantically for another home. Currently there is nothing lined up for us.

We have decided for the foreseeable future that we are going to drop down to a 4 day week (Monday to Thursday) and close on the Friday to allow us to hunt for a new home and to start the huge job of packing and clearing out all of our stuff..

We have storage units that need tidied out so we can squeeze some of this place into it.

Which also means we may have bumpers and doors and panels and seats that will have to go.. or they will have to be scrapped.

Inevitably we will have a period where we have to close whilst we transfer from here to a new place

But that is in the future

It's been a bulkhead sort of month.. had a few to do and save recently.. with Ted's car being the furthest travelled and collected by his daughter Deirdre all the way from Southern Ireland.
Ted chose us to do the job as we have plenty of bulkhead experience.
It was quite bad with the plate being completely broken through and detached from the vehicle.
The lower half had rusted away, as the panels are not available we had to make a new lower half to get it back up and running.. strengthening as we went
As usual painted and rebuilt for years more happy motoring

Been a busy few months ..
Car came in for a check over and required a bit of work.. sadly it had only just been MOT'd and we found the 2 chassis support brackets to be rotton..
So cut the old ones off and knocked up a couple of new ones as repair panels are not available.
All welded back up and good to go .

What you find when a customer comes in saying the car is a bit slippy... Just a reminder folks... Check your tyres.. it'...

Just a quick update...
We will be closed until the 29th August...DUE TO COVID
Kim has just recently recovered from COVID and has just left on a well timed Holiday
Wez has just tested Positive
Hopefully this will not cause too much of an issue for any works that are booked in this week.

Recently had a superb Low mileage 900XE in for a Bulkhead repair. We had been recommended by Perth SAAB to carry out repairs to Sian Lamb's pride and joy..!
As usual work starts with a strip down and assessment..
Clean up and weld as required before fitting the SAAB bulkhead repair kit along with an Abbott steering brace
Before Painting back in original colour
And reassemble as required..
Here is for years more trouble free motoring..!
