Is your car ready for winter? ❄️

Colder temperatures, icy mornings and wet roads all reduce grip, and standard summer tyres start to lose performance once it drops below 7°C.

We stock the full Falken winter and all season range, including the Eurowinter and the new Euroall Season, giving you shorter braking distances and more confidence on cold, slippery roads.

Not sure which tyre suits your car and driving? Our team will talk you through the options and get you sorted.

Ever felt your steering go light on a wet road? 🌧️

That's aquaplaning. It happens when water builds up between your tyres and the road faster than the tread can clear it, leaving you with little to no grip.

If it happens, ease off the accelerator, keep the wheel straight and avoid braking sharply until you feel the tyres grip again.

Worn tread and low tyre pressures make aquaplaning far more likely. With wetter weather on the way, now's the perfect time to get your tyres checked.

Pop into The Auto Care Group in Darlington or Stockton, or give us a call to book.

The clocks go back soon, and darker mornings and evenings mean your car needs to be ready. 🌙

With less daylight, being able to see clearly and stay in control on wet, slippery roads matters more than ever.

A few quick checks can make a big difference: top up your screenwash, replace any worn wiper blades and check your tyres for wear.

Not sure if your tyres are up to the job? Pop into either of our centres for a check before winter sets in, and we'll make sure you're good to go.

Is your tread down to the wire? 👀

The legal minimum tread depth in the UK is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre. Drop below that and you risk a fine of up to £2,500 and three penalty points per tyre, not to mention reduced grip on wet, wintry roads. ❄️

Pop in to either of our centres for a quick tyre check. We stock quality Falken tyres and guarantee our lowest tyre prices, so you'll get back on the road safely without overpaying.

Just because your tyres are legal doesn't mean they're safe. ⚠️

On wet roads, braking distance can increase by up to 44% when your tread is worn down to the legal limit of 1.6mm, compared to a tread depth of 3mm.

That extra distance could be the difference between stopping in time and not, especially as the wetter autumn and winter months set in.

Pop into either of our centres for a quick tread check, and if you need new tyres, our price promise means we'll beat any genuine local price on like for like products.
