It’s been such a crazy busy few days that we almost didn’t share the news that Caitlin smashed her test a few days ago at Gosforth picking up just 2 driving faults. She’s been taking lessons with our instructor, Kirsty.

Am I test ready?

This is a question instructors get all the time. Do you want to know the easiest way to know if you are ready to take your driving test?

Does your instructor/parent/friend/family member have to:

● Remind you of the speed limit
● Remind you to check your mirrors or look properly at junctions
● Tell you to stop, slow or dual control you
● Help you at spiral roundabouts
● Help you correct a reverse manouevre
● Frequently get involved to keep you and other road users safe
● Help you merge onto the A19

The list can go on

The driving test is a risk assesment, you are being assessed on your ability to drive and make safe decisions yourself.

Everytime your accompanied driver steps in to help you is them keeping the car safe or stopping you breaking the law.

If you are unable to do that with your own decisions then you are not ready to drive independantly, meaning you aren't ready for your driving test 👍
