The fact that the Rideology app and all its capabilities come as standard on the bike is a huge positive over competitors. Other brands all have these features of some kind, but you normally have to pay as optional extra over standard RRP price to activate them. The app now finally works very well too.

Engine power - big step forward in initial acceleration out of the corner. Then holds the power feeling well, throughout the whole rev range. One of the fastest accelerating 450cc’s now.

Engine response at the bottom is actually TOO strong for the average rider, but the power can be turned down by using the smoothest map on full power mode. So, it is positive that Kawasaki have a bike that’s suitable for a wide range of riders.

Now the bike has Brembo front and rear it is brought up to the level of the competition who mostly have full Brembo. The KX450 has a slightly bigger front disc than the Austrian bikes and this helps with additional feel.
