🚨 WARNING FOR ALL LEARNERS 🚨

There has been a rise in illegal driving instructors being caught across the UK.

Before you book lessons or hand over your money, check properly.

A real instructor will always display a badge in the windscreen.

Green badge means fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor.
Pink badge means trainee instructor working towards qualification.

If there is no badge, they are not licensed to teach you.

That is not just a small detail. That is a serious risk.

No badge often means no proper training.
No DBS check.
No approved standards.
And in many cases, no valid insurance for teaching.

If something goes wrong, you could be left completely exposed.

Some of these illegal instructors are running social media pages that look professional. They use other instructors’ pass photos, copied content, and fake reviews to appear legitimate.

Do not be fooled by a polished page.

Check the badge. Always.

This is about your safety, your money, and your future on the road.

If you come across someone offering lessons without a badge, report it to the DVSA.

Protect yourself properly from the start.

It's time to think about retirement.
Having always worked since I was 16 this is not going to be easy for me , it will be such a change.
I am going to gradually "wind down" as my students pass, and I will no longer be taking on any new students who are not already booked in ahead with me.

I would like to thank all of you who have recommended me to friends and family, and on social media when people ask for recommendations.

Due to how long it takes to get a practical driving test, this "winding down " process will take around a year in my estimation until I am fully retired, so I will still be able to help people who just need a few lessons as refresher lessons, but I am not going to take on any more new beginners.

Once again thank you to all students past and present, and for all of you for your support during the last 38 years of my Driving Instructor career.
