Let’s talk about Engine Coolant (Antifreeze). 🧪

A lot of drivers think coolant is only important during freezing winter months to stop the engine block from cracking. But in hot weather, its job is arguably harder: it stops your engine from boiling over!

Over time, engine coolant loses its chemical efficiency and ability to inhibit rust inside your engine. If it hasn't been flushed and changed in the last few years, your car is at a much higher risk of overheating during stop-start traffic on a hot day.

The 20p Tyre Test! 🪙🚘

Nearly 10% of all MOT failures are due to tyre issues. Luckily, you can check yours at home in under a minute:
1️⃣ Take a 20p coin.
2️⃣ Insert it into the main tread grooves of your tyre.
3️⃣ If the outer band of the coin is visible, your tyres might be below the legal limit (1.6mm) and unsafe!

Low tread drastically increases your stopping distance, especially in wet weather.
