We completely understand that the current road closure has made parking difficult for workers at nearby businesses, and we’re more than happy for the spaces outside our unit to be used today and tomorrow while we’re a little quieter.

However, from next week onwards, we kindly ask that the spaces directly outside WILBOWORX front and back are kept clear during our working hours.

We use this area throughout the day for customer vehicles, including jacking vehicles up and removing/refitting wheels for refurbishment, so unfortunately we won’t be able to have vehicles parked there for the full day.

We appreciate the road closure is an inconvenience for everyone and we don’t want to make things any more difficult — we just need to make sure we can continue carrying out our work safely and have space available for our customers.

What a day! 🤩 not something I’m usually into but decided to come and show face and I was very surprised with the turn out

We were lucky enough to be invited along to Road Salt Mat Hoseason in Montrose today, and what a fantastic atmosphere it was!

There was a huge variety of absolutely stunning cars on display, and to top the day off, we were lucky enough to come away with two prizes, first thing I’ve ever won in my life minus a race of course 🤪 one for the Turbo Civic and one for the G80 M3!

Honestly, the whole event felt so welcoming from the minute we arrived. Great people, a brilliant atmosphere and some seriously awesome cars! Unfortunately I never got photos of all the cars just the ones we’ve been lucky enough to work on…

Massive thank you to Mat Hoseason for the invitation and for putting on such a brilliant day, and an even bigger thank you to all of our amazing customers for continuing to support us and proudly showing off our work.

We will definitely be attending the next one, thanks guys. 🫶🏼

🇮🇹Maserati GranTurismo — Wheel Refresh/refurbishment ✨

This stunning Maserati GranTurismo was recently in with us for some much-needed TLC after its wheels had kissed a few kerbs over the years 🙈

As always, there are no shortcuts here. The vehicle was jacked up and all four wheels removed before the tyres, valves and old balance weights were stripped off.

The wheels then went through our full refurbishment process:

Chemically stripped back to bare aluminium
Kerb damage repaired — with some of the deeper areas requiring aluminium TIG welding before being carefully reshaped
⚫ Coated in black powder primer
✨ Finished in Freilacke Dark Anthracite
💎 Topped with our acrylic powder lacquer for that deep, durable gloss finish
Tyres refitted and professionally balanced using black stealth weights to keep everything looking clean
Complete wheels refitted to the Maserati and torqued to manufacturer specification

The Dark Anthracite was the perfect choice for this one — keeping that classy OEM Maserati appearance while making the wheels look fresh again. And with those red Brembos sitting behind them 👌🏼

Another set saved from the kerbs and back looking how they should.

Powder Coating & Alloy Wheel Refurbishment

Set of race wheels in for refurbishment after a little oopsie coming off track and into the kitty litter at Knockhill for Krypto Performance happens to the best of us 🙈

Wheels fully stripped, SSR logo hand brushed, coated in a black primer… lettering removed, coated in our matte lacquer to seal it all in.

Tyres refitted and balanced with black stealth weights 🤩

This set came into us having previously been powder coated elsewhere, and unfortunately they’d been given a pretty hard time.

The previous coating was far too thick, to the point where some of the original BMW lettering and numbers were barely visible. There was also plenty of dust and contamination trapped in the finish, along with corrosion underneath that needed properly dealt with.

The wheels were fully stripped back, with the remaining corrosion shot blasted out before applying a high-build powder primer to give us a clean, smooth foundation again.

From there they were finished in our Dark Anthracite, before being topped with a crystal-clear acrylic powder lacquer for that deep gloss finish and added protection. ✨

Tyres refitted, balanced with black weights and ready to go back on the car.

And of course, no set leaves WILBOWORX without passing the most important stage of quality control…

Scar inspection, safe to say he was happy with the end result 👀

Another set properly rescued and back looking how they should. 🙌🏼

Silver on top 🔝

Another set of Team Dynamics Pro Race LT wheels back out the door looking as good as new, if not better 🤪

These came in for a full refresh and a colour change to our Hyper Metallic Silver, but once the old coating was stripped away we uncovered a little more than just cosmetic damage…

One of the wheel faces had been buckled from a previous encounter with a kerb. Rather than simply coating over it, we heated the wheel, carefully pressed the buckle back into shape, then TIG welded aluminium to rebuild the damaged area before reshaping it back to its original profile.

Once the repairs were complete, the wheels went through our full refurbishment process:
✅ Fully stripped
✅ Buckle straightened
✅ Aluminium TIG repair & reshaping
✅ Grey powder primer
✅ Hyper Metallic Silver finish
✅ Durable acrylic powder lacquer
✅ Tyres refitted & wheels balanced ready to go

As always, every wheel is inspected throughout the process to ensure any hidden damage is dealt with properly before the coating goes on. There’s no point making a wheel look brand new if the underlying damage hasn’t been repaired.

Safe to say these completely transformed the look of the Hyundai i20N! 👌🏼

Right, this is easily the best guy out there, not only a great friend but someone that has always been there, I want to thank Wilbo for everything.

Wilbo Worx has sponsored me for a few years now and always been there whenever we needed something done, but this week he has went above and beyond to help us.

The gearbox went on the van last week and thanks to Wilbo (and Jack) we managed to pick up a box on Saturday. Wilbo, Craig and Rory helped my Dad to get the box changed out, including a new clutch and flywheel. Out and in, in just a couple of hours. Absolutely no need to help us out other than being an amazing friend. Although he’s got his own business to worry about, he still went above and beyond to help us regardless.
