🚨 Even after many years in the trade, some cars still manage to surprise us…

This time – a BMW.

The customer came in saying they had recently started hearing a strange noise. After a full inspection, we believe those noises had likely been there for much longer and were simply ignored or had simply become “normal” to the driver.

What did we find?

One side of the braking system was virtually gone. No exaggeration – the brakes were in a dangerous condition, making the vehicle unsafe to drive.

✅ New brake discs fitted
✅ New brake pads installed
✅ Suspension inspected and repaired where required
✅ Vehicle returned to a safe, roadworthy condition

This is exactly why regular vehicle inspections matter. Small warning signs can quickly turn into serious safety risks and costly repairs.

Think your brakes are still good?

This customer thought the same.

During inspection we found severely worn brake pads that needed immediate replacement.

New pads fitted, brakes checked and the vehicle is now safe back on the road.

And this can end very badly… 😳

Today in our garage — Volkswagen Transporter T5 with a serious issue: one cylinder wasn’t working properly.

From the sound and the way the engine was running, we already had our suspicions…
👉 camshaft problem.
And after taking it apart — that’s exactly what we found.

But we don’t do “quick fixes” just to get the car moving again.
If we repair it — we do it properly, so the customer doesn’t have to come back a month later. 💪

So we replaced EVERYTHING with new parts:
✔️ camshaft
✔️ lifters
✔️ valves
✔️ bearings
✔️ everything carefully rebuilt and checked

Problems like this don’t happen overnight.
Most people ignore:
❌ strange engine noises
❌ vibrations
❌ loss of power

And later the repair bill becomes twice as expensive… 😬

👉 Famous last words before a simple job turns into hours of drilling, re-threading, and fighting rusty bolts 😁

Tonight’s job in the garage – Volkswagen Golf Mk5 front suspension arm bush replacement.

On cars like these, removing the bolts can quickly become a nightmare. Years of rust and corrosion mean bolts often snap while being removed, and suddenly the “easy job” becomes a lot more complicated.

Unfortunately, we’ve even seen cases where broken bolts are simply left inside, the bush gets replaced, and the car goes back out like nothing happened… 😅

Big thanks to Titan for the quick and professional restoration of a propshaft (driveshaft) for one of our jobs recently. 🔧

The propshaft is a key part of the drivetrain system, helping transfer power smoothly from the gearbox to the wheels. When it’s worn or damaged, it can cause vibration, noise, and driving issues – so getting it repaired properly really matters.
