Crumbs its Friday again, all rather frantic as we prepare for the LRO show next weekend.. we never feel like we can do it justice but in the end its really about seeing old friends and meeting new ones..

Todays interesting customer was The Action Factory, As you might expect they are fairly coy about the project they are working on or application for the parts supplied. Its increasingly common to find our customers in this sector, our first outing was Aardmann years ago, then Jurassic Park where we supplied the light in this scene! Its been a busy week! Lots to talk about..
1) We've started preparing for the Land Rover Owner Show, this was rather delayed as we had been busy tidying the warehouse after a really exciting delivery of parts.
2) This weeks new parts are rather Defender heavy, it was quite difficult to recreate the 130 decal as there are very few images, we work with what we know is correct and work out from there. They've been made in station wagon format but very easy to apply to the more common HiCap. We've a few new switch tags we made originally on request from a German Land Rover builder, along with stainless sill brackets as an alternative to our galvanised ones and front swivel brake mounts as fitted from 1983-98
3) We've been really busy trying to help Dominic Chinea (https://www.youtube.com/) with his Series 1, he and Jake (J P Restorations) are busy soon I believe!
4) In a similar vein, Richard Hammonds The Smallest Cog are building another Series 1 and we've been supporting the team with that build as well.
5) Our own Series 1 109 has been slowly disappearing into the undergrowth but Jake has a chassis for us so we are beginning to make a plan. The rear body needs a new floor and as its the only Series floor we've not yet done (except 101 & 2b) we've commissioned a batch so we waved it off this week for a trip to the laser cutters where they can measure it up.
6) Our high profile customers are only served after our loyal and regular customers orders have been prepared. This weeks more fascinating customers included a youtube channel in Scotland where birds and red squirrels are busy eating off a table, while apparently admiring model Land Rovers and VW from Emberton Imperial, a few weeks the owner was watching red squirrels working on the TDCi engine! Similarly Paul visited with his beautifully restored 1 ton. He drove this very Land Rover as an apprentice and located it a few years ago, we've helped him along the way from time to time and the results are really stunning! Its not just the paint, its fully fitted out and equipped inside as well!
7) Finally it was a lovely surprise to find our tribute to Dingocroft appear in the Ottawa Valley Land Rovers magazine this month!
8) Our Land Rover prayers themed memes continue, we hope to have a few mugs ready for the LRO show :-)
