Choosing a diesel engine for a commercial vessel or an industrial power application starts with how it will be used.

Operating hours, expected load and time at full power help determine which duty rating to review. Installation space, cooling and maintenance access matter too. For a marine repower, the gearbox and propeller need to be considered alongside the engine. For industrial power generation, the electrical demand and operating schedule shape the discussion.

Moteurs Baudouin offers marine propulsion engines and power generation solutions. KNW Diesel is the official distributor of Baudouin marine engines in British Columbia. From our Surrey location, we can discuss your application, engine options, parts and service needs.

Planning a workboat repower or an industrial power project? Send your equipment details and operating requirements to [email protected], or call 604-888-3440.
