With years in the trade, Dion has worked across just about every corner of motor trimming and upholstery.
From classic & collectible vehicles, original restorations and custom interiors, to hot rods and boats — Dion has the experience to take on the challenge.
He also brings years of experience in problem solving, workshop efficiency and team leadership, making him a huge asset both on the tools and behind the scenes.

Our resident motorbike fanatic (specialist) Andrew brings years of experience across motor trimming, upholstery, vehicle interiors, repairs and custom work.

Garden City Auto Trimming & Upholstery is looking for an experienced Motor Trimmer, Upholsterer or Canvas Worker to join our team in Toowoomba.
If you enjoy variety and take pride in producing quality work, we'd love to hear from you. No two days are the same—you could be working on a classic car one day, then a boat, caravan, furniture piece or commercial project the next.
As a small, family-owned business, we're not just looking to fill a position—we're looking for the right person to become part of our team. We value reliability, attention to detail, a positive attitude and someone who enjoys working alongside others.

What we're looking for:
• Experienced Motor Trimmer, Upholsterer or Canvas Worker
• Current driver's licence

This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, enjoys detailed, precision work, and is eager to build or refine their upholstery skills in a fast-paced, high-quality workshop environment.

About the Role:
Step into a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll work across a variety of projects, bringing furniture back to life while honing your craftsmanship in a fast-paced workshop.
In this role, you will:
• Restore and transform furniture through stripping, repairing, and rebuilding
• Measure, cut, and prepare a range of materials including vinyl, leather, foam, and fabric
• Fit, trim, and deliver clean, professional finishes
• Upholster a diverse mix of pieces
• Confident in the use of hand and power tools

If you enjoy working with your hands, take pride in detail, and like seeing the results of your work come to life, you’ll feel right at home here.

About You:
You’re someone who takes real pride in what you create. You show up ready to get stuck in, bring a positive attitude to the team, and genuinely enjoy hands-on work. You’ve got a sharp eye for detail, confidence using tools, and you care about delivering a high-quality finish every time.

Proven experience in upholstery, sewing, trimming, or a similar trade is essential.
