Engine oil flush and selecting the best service interval to suit your driving!

We are offering a service add on of an engine oil flush. York has just done a mid-service oil and filter change on our vehicles and added in an engine oil flush to help get rid of carbon, dirt and sludge build up, hopefully extending the life of the vehicle.

Now that we are doing a lot less highway driving and a lot more shorter trips he is going to service this vehicle more reguarly. This is because highway driving the oil and engine gets hotter, and performs better. Where as with town driving there is a) usually more time between services and b) more stop starts and more fuel contamination into the oil.

So if you are wanting to invest in your vehicle and keep it in the best condition, ask us to add on an engine oil flush at your next service and ask for our recommended service interval based on your specific driving lifestyle.

We are back with another one for our pre-inspection series! And this week we are focusing on the engine bay!

Would you know what your looking for under the bonnet?
Here are a few things that York noticed when we were looking to purchase a new vehicle
- Mice droppings and chewed wires
- Sand
- A sparkling squeaky clean engine bay

Now you might wonder why that's a problem, well, sometimes people selling cars like to get a little bit cheeky and spray everything with degreaser and wash it down to get rid of any oil leaks that might be occurring. So then give it a few months, you take it for a service and your mechanic (hopefully us) says, 'hey, did you know there is an oil leak and your up for thousands of dollars in repairs'. I know, frustrating right!

We know there is lots of conversations in the small business world giving the recent changes to credit card surcharges so we thought it was about time we join the pack. So just to clear things up we don't accept original artworks in lue of payment, and we also don't have EFTPOS facilities, payment will need to made via bank transfer. So if you were considering paying your next invoice in artworks, please reconsider before you book your next service 😅
