Darryl Wilcox turns the big 80 today
Started racing at the age of 16 and is still having steer just might be a tad slower than he used to
be.
Life member of the HSCC and the Club rooms at Baskerville are named after him just go to show what a dedicated and hard working member of the car club he has been.
And he hasn’t stopped, next time you come past the main ticket box have a glance to your left and check out the fence Darryl has organised with a few of his mates lending a hand.

We wish you all the best Darryl on this your 80th lap in life

RIP Wayne Mahnken
A true racer and an innovator of our sport

Known to all as ‘Mahnks’, the Hall of Fame driver, turbocharging pioneer and man behind the famous black turbo six EH Holden helped shape HQ racing and AUSCAR, and was regarded by many as one of the finest tin top drivers Tasmania ever produced.

Scotty B Photography captured this image over the weekend of our course/safety car, being driven by Kevin Knight, leading the field at Bulk Nutrients Baskerville Raceway.

It’s Kevin’s birthday today, so from all associated with the Club, happy birthday Kevin.

Kevin, like several other officials from the weekend, will be back at it at the Lufra Hillclimb this coming weekend.

A big thank you to all officials who helped us with the event on the weekend.
