🚗 WE’RE HIRING: EXPERIENCED AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE ADVISOR
e‑CAR Menlyn Motor Services & Repairs is looking for a confident, organised and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy 18-bay workshop in Menlyn, Pretoria.
We need someone who understands both vehicles and people—a professional who can guide customers, prepare accurate quotations, communicate clearly and keep every job moving smoothly from booking to handover.
Key responsibilities:
🔧 Booking in vehicles and identifying customers’ needs
📋 Opening and managing job cards
💰 Preparing accurate quotations and obtaining authorisation
📞 Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process
🛠️ Communicating effectively with technicians and suppliers
📦 Following up on parts, approvals and outstanding work
✅ Checking that completed work is ready before handover
🤝 Building trust and delivering excellent customer service
The right candidate must have:
✅ Previous Service Advisor experience in the motor industry
✅ Good mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle repairs
✅ Strong sales, quotation and customer-service skills
✅ Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
✅ Good computer and administrative skills
✅ The ability to stay organised and calm in a fast-paced workshop
✅ A valid driver’s licence
✅ Fluent English and Afrikaans
✅ A reliable, honest and professional attitude
✅ Availability to work Saturdays and public holidays when rostered
This position is best suited to someone who takes ownership, follows through and understands that great customer service means keeping promises and communicating properly.
