🚨🌨️☔️ UPDATE BRUNSWICK COUNTY SCHOOLS 🚨🌨️☔️

Good Afternoon BCS Families,

All after-school activities and athletics will operate on a regular schedule this evening, February 19th.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, Brunswick County Schools will implement our asynchronous remote learning plan for Thursday, February 20, 2025. All after-school activities and athletics are canceled. This decision was made due to the combination of overnight precipitation and lingering low temperatures in the morning creating the possibility of hazardous driving conditions.

Students and parents will be informed no later than 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, concerning asynchronous remote learning assignments through their normal school communication channels.

This is also a reminder that Friday, February 21, 2025, is a non-required teacher work day. There is no school for students who attend traditional schools.

If you have any questions, please contact your student’s school directly.

🚨 New Hanover County Schools Weather Update 🚨

Due to expected winter weather, New Hanover County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

As of now, extracurricular activities on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, will continue as scheduled, since the weather is not expected to impact our area until late evening or overnight.

Stay safe and plan accordingly! ❄️🚗
