I'm sure a lot of you have driven past Tahoe Automotive and noticed it's closed. I'm Scott the former owner, I owned it since 1985. I recently sold it, mainly because I could no longer afford to pay the property taxes and stay in business. With my new assessment, I was scheduled to start paying $72,000 per year in property taxes. A developer approached me and offered to buy it and was willing to pay me more than it's realistically worth. So faced with the tax bill and the inability to continue paying it, I accepted the offer.
