🔧 **TECH TIP TUESDAY: Don’t Forget About Your Filters!**
Your vehicle has two air filters that do very different jobs—and both are easy to forget about.
🌬️ **Cabin Air Filter**
This filters the air coming into the passenger compartment through your heating and A/C system. Over time it can collect **dust, leaves, pollen, dirt and other debris.** A heavily restricted filter can reduce airflow through the vents and put additional strain on the HVAC blower.
🚗 **Engine Air Filter**
Your engine needs a steady supply of clean air. The engine air filter helps keep **dirt, dust and debris** from entering the engine while still allowing enough airflow for proper operation.
And sometimes we pull them out and find **a whole ecosystem living in there.** 😂🍂
The filters in these pictures are real examples we've found during vehicle inspections.
👉 **Tech Tip:** Don't replace filters just because of mileage. Have them inspected and replace them when they're actually dirty or restricted.
