So probably an odd post, instead of pretty cars and some of the things we have been working on here, this is something everyone needs to keep in the front of their mind.

SAFETY!!!! Whether it’s on the race track, at work, or at home, we all become complacent.

When I work on big steel, I always wear my composite-toe shoes. This time I was just setting up for an employee and the magnet I was using, let go while I was wearing my street shoes. I have done this hundreds of times before with no issues.

Long story short, I got lucky but still paid the price. I crushed my big toe and broke two more. This thing could have taken off my foot if it had fallen like a guillotine!

After two weeks of extremely limited activity due to pins and wires holding it together, today it had to go away due to too much damage. Short cuts are not worth it!

I’ll be fine but, DON’T be complacent! It can affect not only your life, but also that of your loved ones.
