Service Writer wanted

LD Walker Transmissions was established in 1987 as the premiere leader in transmission rebuilds & repairs. We are currently looking for a Service Writer to join our team and provide excellent customer service by handling incoming calls, booking appointments, and being the communicator between customers and mechanics. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automotive repair and maintenance (prior experience as a mechanic or in parts sales), proficient computer skills, and exceptional communication abilities.

Responsibilities include:
Answer incoming calls from customers and help regarding their automotive service needs.
Schedule appointments for vehicle repairs, coordinating with our team of technicians.
Utilize automotive knowledge to accurately price out repairs and services for customers.
Effectively manage time to ensure prompt response to customer inquiries and efficient appointment scheduling.
Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless communication and exceptional service delivery.

Requirements:
Previous experience in automotive repair, parts sales, or service writing is required.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with basic office software and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
