What’s one skill or area in your role that you’d like to master this year?
I want to continue improving my ability to create a stress-free experience for every guest. Buying a vehicle is a big decision, so I focus on making sure people feel confident and comfortable from start to finish. 💥

What’s something you’re really looking forward to this summer?
I’m looking forward to staying busy at the dealership and continuing to grow in my role. Outside of work, I’m excited to enjoy the warm weather and spend time on the water whenever I can.

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?
I’d go to Las Vegas. I enjoy the energy, and it offers a great mix of entertainment, food, and a chance to get away for a few days.

What’s a leadership quality you admire in others and want to continue developing in yourself?
Consistency. The best leaders show up every day with the same mindset and work ethic, and that’s something I’m always working to improve in myself. 🏆

KWI Celebrates 20 Years as Part of the Kocourek Brand

On April 17, 2006, Keith Kocourek purchased Wausau Imports from Ron Drecktrah—marking a pivotal moment that helped ignite the growth of the Kocourek brand in Central Wisconsin. Building on the foundation of the Chevrolet store, this acquisition expanded the group’s portfolio to include Nissan, Audi, and Volkswagen.

As the Kocourek brand continued to grow across Central Wisconsin, so did its reach and impact. In 2012, Wausau Imports transitioned from Nissan to Hyundai following the development of the new Kia/Hyundai dealership on the northern campus.

Today, Kocourek Wausau Imports stands strong as a key pillar of our organization—thanks to two decades of loyal guests and exceptional leadership.

We are also proud to recognize two outstanding team members who have been part of this journey since the very beginning: Geoff Krueger, Technician, and Greg Jirschele, F&I Manager. Both joined Kocourek Automotive through the 2006 acquisition and are celebrating 20 years of dedication and contribution to our success.
