GD appreciation post because, 26 years ago today, Subaru debuted the first GD/GG Bugeye Impreza & WRX in Japan. (STi variant followed a couple months later)

While the GC won the hearts of many, the second generation Impreza really took the world with its next level of automotive tech.

Items brought into the GD bloodline like the TY856 gearbox, a tuneable ECU, DBW, AVCS were all key components to making the GD chassis so refined for its time.
