Just finished this used T-top frame for a customer. Many issues from the manufacturer. Frame was all cracked due to undersized tubing. We worked with Bennett Marine fab, a 35 yr neighbor to our shop to remove the frame and cut out the small tubing and replace it with larger oversized tube. He also replaced all the frame mounts with much larger units and fully weld around them. We completely blasted off the badly applied powder coating! It was flaking and lifting off random areas. In our blast room, we noticed that the area's flaking showed shiny aluminium underneath? no blasted finish, no DA sand surface, and definitely no acid treatment.
Now we applied all those to the repaired frame. We also removed all the hard edges that no coating likes! we applied a powder primer, followed by two finish coats. We always sand flaws and look for any issues between all coats. Fixed the correct Way! Not cheap, but done right!!

We haven't posted lately, but we are still knocking out many diffrent projects. Mostly powder coating, but cerakote as well!

Glad we could help Factory 5 racing to get their latest new creation done for SEMA.
This brand new chassis and body kit, will take your F-150 and turn it into a dessert truck! This frame is Massive and we got it done in a matte finish bronze, just a few days before SEMA 2022. When you need it right, call us!!!!

We have been so crazy busy at the shop that we haven't posted anything since last June! Well, we have had some awesome jobs running through the doors here at Prism Powder Coating
We just ran a big job for the "Sun Glass Hut". They are building a flag ship store in Road island. Lots of parts to this one project, and a very short time to get it done. We knocked this out in 3 days. It came out awesome!
We still continue to ceramic coat a ton of headers, turbo housings and side pipes. Restored a pretty beat up older Royal Enfield motorcycle. We then restored a set of tired old #6 standoff boxes for a Outer limits race boat getting a big horse power upgrade. Still knocking out wheels with all different finishes. We have been coating miles of railings, gates, and post for stores, museums and homes. And as always we knock out a bunch of T-top and hard top custom built boat frames for boat manufacturers and the private sector!

Well, Summer is right on our heels! So everyone is looking to get wheels done quickly. However, to do them correctly WE strip them down correctly and apply a primer coat and two finish coats. Not a cheap process. But the outcome is worth the cost.

Well today, we finally finished up Sean Smith's Factory 5's 33 Hot rod. The chassis was the last and biggest item to do. Sean picked out a great color. Prismatic Cadillac gray metallic. He will be busy this holiday weekend assembling this car with his kids!
Fun project! Now on to the next new powder job.

So, I ask myself why I am still powder coating after 30 yrs in business.
Well, It comes down to one thing! I still love what I do!
Love seeing people's projects come to life and being part of that story.
Sean Smith is building a Factory Five 33 hot rod, called "Wild Card". Sean picked out a color from prismatic powders called Cadillac gray. We met with sean to go over the details and time frame. Sean was organized and ready to move this job through the process. Powder was ordered, blaster for the chassis was scheduled. Time frames where set for us to begin our process through Prism Powder Coating. We are now almost 98% through this as of today!
Planning is key to make it run smoothly. Sean will be putting this all back together with his kids for this up coming holiday weekend. We are straight out at Prism Powder Coating! We just finished up a bunch of aircraft parts.These aircraft brake calipers will be going in gloss white. Some orginal 56 corvette wheels in zinc primer, will be getting ready for a red top coat to match the corvette.
A bunch of aluminum research frames in the shop right now.They will get some special powder coating pre- treatment and top coated for life in the ocean!
Some house rails getting ready to receive a nice satin gray. And a Honda Z-50 getting some needed love, now going in satin black.

Well we are still very busy powder coating. All kinds of projects going on.If you need anything coated, call is now! We are booking up fast! Check out these new projects we just finished.
We had to redo a rear caliper for an old honda motorcycle that another shop did wrong? and make it right! We just finished two new golf ball machine frame for Titelist.
Ceramic Hi-Temp coatings are flying out the door! And dirt bikes and four wheel quads are still rolling in!

The last two months at the shop has been dirt bike crazy! We have done a bunch of really fun color changes. But this one is gonna look unreal!! We color matched the customers new seat colors onto the main bike frame and rear frame
section. The swing arm, triple tree's, and skid plate also got coated. Everything was stripped to the base material, the frame, vin # masked off, welding repairs done, primers were applied. Then all the base color's went on. The final touch was a crystal clear top coat.
