Factory Five's Nate Johnson posted a video today of him taking his daughter Katie for a "Spirited" ride in my awesome 750hp "Predator" powered Factory Five. Since it is Father's Day weekend, I figured I'd follow suit and share a short clip of me and my daughter Madison autocrossing some years back at the Annual London Cobra Show. There is nothing better than sharing your love for motorsports with your kids!

For five years, Factory Five customer Ed Boothman and his team competed in the 25 Hours of Thunderhill in a modified Challenge Car. After the 2012 event, the car was retired, and eventually sold by Ed.

It is now owned by Ben F. from New Hampshire who has shared the news that he has completed converting the 25 Hours Challenge Car into a street car. “It’s an ex-race car not a show car, and a lot of fun!" said Ben.

Two new Mk5 Roadster builds are underway! Customers Tim S. and Darren M. came by Factory Five today to pick-up their kits.

Tim S. came down from Dedham, MA and his son Angus will be helping with the build. They're installing a BluePrint Engines 347 with an 8 stack EFI into his Mk5 along with IRS, stainless steel side exhaust, power steering, vintage gauges, Wilwood brakes, chrome roll bar, and 17" Halibrand wheels. Tim and Angus plan on graduating their build in six months complete with a classic blue and white paint job.

Darren M. from Wayland, MA with his friend Simon (who is here from England for the World Cup). Darren will be building the car with his son Max, and are also installing a BluePrint Engines 347. They configured their Mk5 with IRS, stainless steel side exhaust, power steering, vintage gauges, chrome roll bar, and over riders. Darren is still debating on the wheels he'll be using.

It was great talking with Tim and Darren about their projects, and we look forward to getting updates on how they're builds progress.

Jesse L. Scores Autocross Top Time of Day in Mk4!

Customer Jesse L. from British Columbia, Canada started his Factory Five Mk4 Roadster build in February 202 with his daughter, Claire. They recently shared the exciting news that they have reached the go-kart stage and decided now was a good time to test it out at the autocross.

"I reached out to our local club to see if they would let me run the go-kart and they had no problem. I didn’t know what to expect with my huge HP RWD tiny car. Well, turns out this thing is a champ! We had the top time of the day overall, and had 4 seconds on the second place RWD car (race spec Miata). I couldn’t have hoped for a better result!"

George and Austyn C. came up from Tennessee to pick-up their Factory Five Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe kit! George had previously built a Mk2 Roadster, is excited to start this new build with his son Austyn.

Their build plans for the Coupe feature a BluePrint Engines 427, 3-link rear suspension with a 9" rear end, and while they have a set of Halibrand wheels for the car, they are thinking of maybe going with a more modern style of wheel.
