🚛 THIS DAY IN TRUCKING HISTORY — SEPTEMBER 1, 1944
During World War II, the legendary Red Ball Express was racing supplies across France to keep Allied forces moving toward Germany.
By September 1, the truck convoy operation was targeting 75,000 tons of supplies delivered—and ultimately hauled more than 412,000 tons during its 82-day run.
Nearly 900 trucks were dispatched on an average day.
The Red Ball Express proved just how critical truck drivers are when an army—or an entire country—needs to keep moving. 🇺🇸🚛

As a lady who spent years of her life on the road, it seems like she found a special way to touch everyone in her own way (even truck drivers). RIP Dolly...The night sky got a little brighter this week.

Our condolences go out to the family of this local man. Most people on the roads don't stop to help when a trucker has been in an accident. This man put himself on the line, and unfortunately he lost his life in the act. We remember Dylan Hoyt for his selflessness and care for others.

A Springfield man who was hit by debris while helping an overturned semi driver near Miami, Oklahoma, has died after nearly two weeks in the hospital.

All the highways crossing the country nowadays, it's easy to forget about the Original Highway. We're talking about Old Route 66!
