Got the motor pulled for the final time. Wrapping up some last-minute maintenance—going through the timing guides and buttoning everything up for good.

It’s almost time to pull the car out of storage, so I figured I’d take a break from the 3.6 build and give the 07K B5 some attention. Got it fired up, warmed through, and starting to get it ready for the season.

Can’t wait to put some miles on this thing again this summer.

Intake is all wrapped up, wanted to have some fun with this one for the 3.6 build.

Intake and exhaust manifold are mostly sorted

Intake just needs the fuel rail mounted — fixtures are ready and the rail just came in, so that’s next on the list.

Exhaust manifold still needs to be finish welded and the wastegate buttoned up.

The first-ever VR86 is up and running! Already taken it on a few drives to iron out the kinks. Now to finish the break-in and get to an event.
