Ransomville Speedway

Ransomville Speedway Friday night DIRTcar racing and Thursday night go-kart racing in the heart of Niagara from May-September.

The original Ransomville Speedway was built behind Ed Ortiz's service garage in the mid-1950s, in order to keep the kids from racing on the village streets. In 1958, the Ransomville Slo-Pokes purchased the land and built the current Ransomville Speedway on Braley Road. During the mid-70s, Stan Friesen purchased the speedway and alongside his family, owned and operated Ransomville for 42 seasons. I

n December of 2015, the Atwal family purchased the facility and immediately began plans of renovations, including a new concession stand, souvenir stand, track office building, and the state of the art jumbotron. A new tech barn was built in 2018, alongside new concrete pads. With an emphasis on the race fan experience and commitment to the racers, Ransomville Speedway looks forward to having you race and visit "The Big R".

What an incredible streak that Mat Williamson had here at The Big R spanning the last four years!

🏁 69 Straight Top 5s: Mat Williamson’s Historic Ransomville Run Ends.

For over 4 years, spanning 5 racing seasons, 1,568 days, and 69 consecutive feature events, Mat Williamson pulled off one of the most remarkable consistency runs in modern Northeast Modified history: he never finished outside the top 5 at Ransomville Speedway. On Championship Night, that streak officially came to a close.

📊 The Numbers Behind the Run (May 20, 2022 – Aug 25, 2026):

69 Consecutive Top-5 Finishes
35 Feature Wins (50.7% win rate)
16 Runner-Up Finishes & 10 Third-Place Finishes
1.91 Average Finish across 69 straight features
Worst finish in 4+ years: 5th (which happened only 3 times)

Touring Dominance: Survived 8 major touring specials, going 5-for-5 on podiums in Super DIRTcar Series Summer Nationals (3 wins, two 3rds) alongside a BRP Tour victory.

It stands as the longest recorded single-track Top-5 streak in modern Northeast dirt modified history.

🎗️ SEPTEMBER IS PEDIATRIC CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 🎗️

Tonight, we are honored to welcome invited pediatric cancer patients and their families as our special guests in the VIP suites for a night of racing, smiles, and memories.

Throughout the evening, fans can also purchase SHINE GOLD RIBBONS at the Main Concession Stand, with proceeds helping support pediatric cancer.

We’re asking the entire Ransomville Speedway family to SHINE GOLD with us! Stop by the concession stand, purchase a ribbon, wear it proudly, and show these courageous kids and their families that they have an entire racing community behind them.
