🚨 Now Hiring: Full-Time Service Writer/Parts Person/Office Person at Diesel Mechanic Shop 🚨

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and friendly individual to join our team at a busy diesel mechanic shop. This is a full-time position with pay depending on experience (DOE). Commission on additional parts sales can be discussed.

Responsibilities include:
• Answering phones, messages, questions/updates, and scheduling appointments
• Handling customer service and front-desk duties
• Invoicing, filing, accounts payable, and maintaining records
• Looking up parts, ordering, selling parts etc. along with shop coordination

Requirements:
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in an automotive or mechanic setting is obviously a big plus, but not required

2023 Ram 3500 6.7 Cummins High Output Aisin 6 speed
2022 GM 6.6 L5P Duramax 10 speed
2021 Ford F450 6.7 Powerstroke 10 speed
Which one you picking to tow with? Which one ran the best after we got done with them? 😏 Which one you going to count on everyday? 2020 and newer diesels are another league of pickup trucks that keep challenging the limits of their competition. My personal opinion on the 2020+ or even 2017+ diesel trucks really is “pick your poison”. They all have their minor pros and cons, but really no major issues we’ve seen thus far if properly maintained vs. some of the older years or generations.

Wew it’s been some long hours, days, weeks, and trucks lately! Speaking of long trucks, we have another long 1 piece aluminum driveline for a 2010-2018 Ram quadcab long bed 68RFE truck in stock for when you don’t want to worry about carrier bearings again!

Our legs are still white and our shop/parking lot is well overfull… But another day just trying to keep up with the work overload and this heat! Still very proud of my team and what they can accomplish even when circumstances aren’t always ideal.

“We don’t work on semi trucks”… but here is a Kenworth W900 with an early C13 Acert CAT we did a PDI Diesel stage 1 single turbo conversion kit on this last winter. It also got a slight bump in power from 470 to 525 HP, IVAs adjusted, new OEM thermostat, new transmission heat exchanger, and new coolant/filter. Customer said he had to relearn how to drive it after, but more power, simplicity, and less potential problems is always a win!

We got parts! The ol couch is gone to make more room for inventory and the UPS guys. I learned from the tool guys a long time ago that it’s hard to sell something unless you have it. Well chances are we have it or can get it quickly if it is diesel related! We try to keep most common FASS Fuel Systems fuel pump kits/filters and S&B Filters air intakes/filters in stock. We also try to always have Fleece Performance Engineering turbos, KC Turbos turbo kits, Holset Turbos actuators, and BD Performance exhaust manifolds on hand as we install plenty of them in the shop. We also try to carry ARP head studs, Pacbrake Company 4k governor springs, Air Lift compressor kits/airbags, mufflers, exhaust tips, Edge Products CTS3 monitors/egt probes, Interstate Batteries batteries, MAHLE USA or OEM gaskets/seals, intercooler pipes/boots, common OEM sensors/parts, fuel sumps, rail plugs, and other fuel related parts. We always try to have plenty of Hot Shot's Secret fuel additives and oil along with AMSOIL INC. oil, Fleetguard filters, and OEM filters. We currently even have a Stage 2 Randy's Transmissions 68RFE, a D&J Precision Machine reman 12 valve cylinder head, and a HP Reman 13-18 6.7 Cummins long block with head studs in stock! If you find yourself needing any parts or need to order anything, give us a holler! We likely have it, have it already on its way, or can ship to your door 👍.

I’m about to start offering all these parts together as a “Duramax general maintenance kit”… tie rods, injectors, head gaskets, and engines are also optional add-ons 😁. Every Duramax will need some if not all of these items pictured at some point in it’s life so we try to always keep these items on the shelf and more 👍

No more dead batteries around here! We are now a dealer for Interstate Batteries and stock most of the common diesel truck batteries. We feel a lot of the parts store batteries and even OEM batteries don’t have the quality or longevity that they used to so we wanted to offer something that we feel is an even better option. How much better you may ask? 6 year nationwide warranty with higher CCA that your diesel wants especially when firing off in the cold temps. I have some old interstates in my be**er 95 Dodge that I took out of a parts truck years ago, the truck literally sits for weeks on end in the cold and always fires right up. I was curious the date on them so I rubbed some of the dust off and sure enough they are almost 12 years old! We even got some dual post units for this customer’s duramax so he could easily jump other batteries or use the same battery in another application if needed. Batteries make or break a diesel and can cause a lot of issues if they aren’t up to par so get with us when you want something you can count on 👍

Another great debate… 5.9 or 6.7 Cummins? We know what we prefer or have seen less problems with over the years but why? Lack of maintenance, heat, contamination, bad fuel injector(s) can take either of them out of commission but same goes for any other diesel engine as well. Here is a late 5.9 and early 6.7 we finished up rebuilding a while back.

Is your diesel gelled up or feeling sluggish? We have plenty of Hot Shot's Secret diesel additives and FASS Fuel Systems filters in stock to keep your diesel running trouble free in these frigid temperatures 🥶 ❄️. We also stock most common OEM fuel filters, Fleetguard filters, and Airdog filters. We highly recommend running Fass fuel filters vs others when able due to their micron rating and water separator technology. We had a 6.7 Cummins come in a few weeks ago with parts store filters on the Fass that got water in the fuel system then ended up needing new injectors. If it would’ve had the Fass fuel filters on it, it likely would have shut the truck down and avoided a costly repair bill 🤔.

Another reminder with a Fass or even an Airdog fuel system, if you gel up, have water in your fuel, or have a restricted filter, it will likely pop the fuse feeding power to the pump. The fuse is usually located by the driver’s side battery if the pump kit was installed by us. Never hurts to keep a few spare fuses with you especially in these temps 👍
