This one definitely tried our patience… NEVER install a larger fuse than the circuit was built to handle. All the ASE patches in the world don’t mean a thing if you’re still dumb and lazy enough to call a 50amp fuse in a 40amp slot a fix.

8v’s on the block, 6 on the frame, shorted starter just behind the oversized cat converter.. no way. Love that Jeep is still around to remind us, it can always get dumber. Not at all a fire waiting to happen… and where’s that 4th cat manifold bolt, well duh, it’s squeezed behind it silly.

Quick way to see if the evaporator might need further investigating. Not all HVAC drains are accessible under the dash, some only under the vehicle or at the firewall. If the system does in fact have dye, a clean cup (preferably not plastic, they collect film that can be mistaken for dye), collect the condensation, any dye that has settled in the HVAC box will make its way… from here, a bore scope or find access to visually inspect the evaporator and confirm the leak.

The father-in-law, Jeff Manning, picked this up for me awhile back. I’ve always been a PowerProbe fan…. Gotta admit. I don’t think I’ve picked up the power probe since I opened this thing up.

Indexable, built in voltage regulator (3,5,12-24v), definitely a bit faster report. Injector pulse illumination nearly kept up with my labscope. The cord is a little cheesy, seems cheap, and I’d never in a million years recommend plugging a bidirectional test light or power probe into a cigarette lighter…. All that said tho, this thing is atleast a 9 outta 10, well worth the purchase. Thank you, sir!

Absolutely love this little TR6. Way overdue for lines (blown out and seeping everywhere). Will need some fine tuning with some brake adjustment based on owner’s preferences down the road I’m sure, but finally got to do an axle swap from the original telescoping multi-bearing and problematic setup to a more modern cv and hub assembly. Night and day difference in what is already a super fun little 4 speed car.
