Many security system manufacturers sell ‘universal’ out-of-the-box solutions. The idea is that the same unit can be installed on both an old Ford and a new Porsche. The result? Half the features don’t work, and the installer spends days trying to ‘trick’ the electronics.
At AUTHOR, we believe in a Customized approach.
A car is a highly complex computer network. BMW’s protocols are fundamentally different from Toyota’s.
How do we handle this?
1. Custom firmware: We write custom firmware for each car. The system ‘knows’ the specific language of your vehicle.
2. Targeted functionality: On one car, we might program the windows to roll up when armed; on another, we might disable the Start-Stop system. We are honest about which comfort features a specific car supports, and we don’t promise the impossible.
3. Equipment selection: The installer selects components (IGLA, ALARM, OBD BLOCK) based on the vulnerabilities of the specific car model. For a car with keyless entry, a KEYLESS BLOCK is a must; for a commercial van, TELE COMPASS telematics.
Your car is unique. Its security should be, too.
