Brad Barnes of Death Metal Racing, better known as Boosted Brad, reached out to us about being part of his Harley-Davidson x Born Free Invited Builder project. Once he shared his vision and the platform he was building, we knew we had to get involved. Brad wanted something custom, something nobody else had. We started with our Stage 2 Turbo System, built around a Garrett GT28 ball-bearing turbo, and developed a custom high-and-tight 3-inch tailpipe specifically for the build. The result is an aggressive, compact setup that complements the bike perfectly. 50,### miles and still going strong.

This 2022 FXLRST owned by one of our very own has a bone stock motor, an S&S Cycle - Motorcycle Parts Camchest, and our Tornado Turbo System, which is proudly distributed by our friends at Drag Specialties. That’s a lot of miles on a turbo with no issues.

The Tornado makes a lot of sense for a bike you ride every day. You can cruise around like normal without being in boost all the time, then roll into the throttle when you want the power. The turbo uses exhaust pressure to push more air into the motor, and the whole system is built to work together, from the turbo and intake to the exhaust and tune.

This bike’s been ridden hard and put the miles on. It’s a pretty good example of what a well set up turbo bike can do.
