Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. 🤲
Psalm 9:10 📖
There is something powerful about knowing His name.
Throughout Scripture, God reveals Himself through names that tell us something about His character.
Jehovah Jireh - The Lord Will Provide.
Jehovah Shalom - The Lord Is Peace.
El Roi - The God Who Sees Me.
El Shaddai - God Almighty.
Elohim - God, the Mighty Creator.
Psalm 9:10 doesn’t simply say those who know about God will trust Him. It says those who know His name will.
Because when you’ve walked with Jehovah Jireh, you learn that He provides.
When you’ve needed peace and encountered Jehovah Shalom, you learn that His peace isn’t dependent on your circumstances.
When you’ve felt overlooked and discovered El Roi, you learn that there has never been a moment when God did not see you.
When life reminds you how little you can control, El Shaddai reminds you that nothing has ever been beyond His power.
And when you look at the beauty of creation, Elohim reminds you whose hands made it all.
Maybe that’s why time on the lake can quiet our hearts so well.
Out here, surrounded by something much bigger than ourselves, we’re reminded that Elohim, the God who created the water beneath us, the hills around us, and the sky above us, is the same God who knows us personally.
Whatever you’re carrying into this Sunday, remember what Psalm 9:10 teaches us:
The more we know who God is, the more reason we have to trust Him.
He has been Provider.
He has been Peace.
He has seen us.
He is Almighty.
And He is the Creator of it all.
And through it all, He has never forsaken those who seek Him.
From all of us at Cricket Creek Marina, have a peaceful and blessed Sunday. 🕊️
