Ever notice your tire pressure light seems to show up on the first cool morning?

There’s a reason. As the temperature outside drops, the air inside your tires contracts, and the pressure can drop with it. If your pressure was already close to the lower limit, one chilly morning may be enough to turn the TPMS light on.

That light doesn’t automatically mean you have a flat, but it shouldn’t be ignored either. Checking the pressure can help determine whether the temperature caused the change or there’s another issue that needs attention.

We’re wrapping up Fall Car Care Month with the things that become a lot more noticeable once the mornings get cooler and the days get shorter.
