The next generation of offshore flight.

We recently had the opportunity to see Gitana 18 up close in Lorient. At 32 metres long, the latest Maxi Edmond de Rothschild is a remarkable example of how far high-performance multihull design continues to evolve.

From her radical foil configuration to the engineering required to sustain flight offshore, Gitana 18 represents a significant step forward in Ultim development.

With the Route du Rhum starting today, all eyes are on Charles Caudrelier and the Gitana team as they set out to defend their 2022 victory.

Spike shares his observations from Lorient and takes a closer look at the technology behind this remarkable boat.

Two days into FLIBS and Tiger Lily Too is certainly turning heads.

With over $1.6 billion worth of brokerage yachts on display, standing out is no small feat. As the only true sailing yacht at the show, TL2 is certainly getting noticed.

Visitors have been blown away by TL2’s exceptional condition, the sheer space and privacy on board, and the quality of her high-end finishes. From her striking exterior to the seamless indoor-outdoor living, she really does stand apart.

📍I’ll be in Fort Lauderdale for the International Boat Show, October 28 to November 1, with our listing, Gunboat 90 Tiger Lily Too.

The Gunboat 90 was an ambitious design from the start, and more than a decade later, she still stands in a class of her own.

Designed by renowned naval architects Morrelli & Melvin, with exterior and interior architecture by Rhoades Young Design, she remains one of the world’s leading performance superyachts. And for the first time, she will be open to the public.

Built in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2010 to a fully custom specification, Tiger Lily Too underwent an $11 million U.S. refit between 2019 and 2021. Her all-carbon construction with Nomex aramid cores delivers serious sailing performance and genuine offshore capability, combined with superyacht luxury.

With lifting rudders and daggerboards and a draft of just 5.2 feet, she offers a rare combination of performance and access that sets her apart.

A pretty special sight in Lorient.

While in town to take clients sailing on a Gunboat 68, Spike came across Gitana 18, the new 32-meter Ultim trimaran.

Lee went to visit Noire, a Bloomfield Custom 70 by Cure Composites.

A carbon performance multihull with a North 3Di sail package, Harken Performa winches and a setup designed around shorthanded sailing.

The interior is equally considered, with lightweight construction throughout, Arlington Oak joinery and a fully electric galley.

Rapide Listing | Gunboat 57 | Thirst

Recent upgrades to Thirst include a redesigned steering system, replacement Yanmar 3JH40 engine, a 2025 rig repaint, and a new Doyle Stratis mainsail delivered in June 2026.

The electrical system has also been updated with 720Ah of Mastervolt lithium, 1,600W of solar, a Watt & Sea hydrogenerator, and Starlink.

Her enclosed cockpit saloon includes triple B&G displays, integrated running rigging, and seating for eight around a varnished teak dining table.
