A special congratulations to Alec Brainerd of Artisan Boatworks for facilitating the sale, and heartfelt farewell to Harry Morgan of Sparkman & Stephens, who represented Kialoa III as the listing broker. Before his illustrious 31-year run at Sparkman & Stephens, Harry had the privilege of racing aboard this very vessel. This poetic finale adds a special touch to his impressive career.⁠

Black Watch is a historic 68-foot yawl designed by Sparkman & Stephens in 1938. Built for offshore racing, she holds the distinction of being their first tank-tested design. During World War II, Black Watch served with the U.S. Navy on coastal patrols before becoming a training ship. Today, she is back in the world of classic yacht racing keeping her competitive spirit alive and honoring her design heritage.

Perhaps the most famous and revered 12 Metre of the modern day era, Courageous has won the America's Cup twice, in 1974 and 1977 and is one of only three boats with that distinction in the 170 year history of the competition.⁠
