We thought McDigger was tracking in trying to ruin our day but nope just wanted to say goodbye before his chariot arrived. Kind of sad to see it go but definitely glad it’s done. It’s been one hell of a summer on the corner and met some nice people. The Minger Crew did as much as they could to accommodate but still needed to get the job done. Wishing them safe and successful job sites in future.

Believe it or not this is a good sign. Road guys are here getting prepped for tar and opening up the intersection. It’s noisy and confusing but heading in the right direction.

This is going to be confusing but only for 4 days😂😂😂😂. Looks like only way to get to Westside will be from the south on Commerce then turn on Bartlett and into shop.

Work continues on the City's water infrastructure. Here is what residents need to know for the week of September 28th:
Week of September 28:
- Bartlett and Commerce Intersection Reconstruction: Reconstruction will start on Monday, September 28 and is scheduled to be completed Thursday, October 1. Southbound travel will not be permitted to turn left onto CSAH 125. Travelers will need to travel beyond the intersection to find an area to turn around then head north to go east on CSAH 125 if necessary. Semi/Truck traffic will need to use the regional detour during this detour.
- Stage 3: Restoration will continue in this area.
- Stage 2: Crews will pour sidewalks and curbs, as well as prepare the road for pavement. Crews will also continue removing temporary water connections.
- Stage 1: Water main will be installed between Harbor Place and Marrion Lane. New hydrants and select water services will be installed and crews will be testing new water main.

We stopped by the shop today, look who we found enjoying some of the new holes and recent rain. Schedule an appt at Westside and stop and see surfin Dan at Surfside, and have dinner within 5 days of your appt, and save 5% at Westside. The food is fantastic!

Well not sure if it’s a McDigger nugget or McDiggers little cousin but they have officially violated our parking lot. They say 1 day but we’ll see. They gave us access from commerce to back lot but its mud hole. Parking is limited.

Well the boys said 1 day and they knocked it out. Holes filled and now have access to back lot.

So I’m seeing where there might be an issue with fliers now up at Surfside. Our schedule won’t always allow you to get in within 5 days of eating at Surfside. But…… #1 of the rules is have an appointment at Westside. Then go out to eat within 5 days.

It’s a new program so we want the word to get out, unfortunately some will have to go back to Surfside for dinner😁. Please understand the program as we are just trying to get through this construction. Shop is doing just fine. We are trying to drive traffic towards Surfside.

The City of Mounds Blantant disregard for the mental health of its residents is horrible. This detour route is very disturbing!😂

Anyway. Have a great Labor Day weekend we will be closed Friday and Monday.
