On March 11th, the annual Cedar River Source Water Partnership occurred at Veteran’s Memorial Building in Downtown Cedar Rapids. Jeff Stein, of News Talk 1540 AM KXEL, sat down with our own Cole and Doug of Linn Coop to discuss the role of ag retail in conservation efforts to promote enhanced nutrient management practices that lead to improved water quality. HEADS UP: The Linn County Hazmat Team will be at the Linn Co-Op in Marion, 3544 3rd Ave., this evening, Oct. 30, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., training on some new liquid propane (LP) emergency equipment. They will use a system that allows them to relieve excess pressure in an LP tank.

This training will primarily cover the use and setup of the new equipment. The burning portion will likely only last 15 to 20 minutes and will not be a continuous burn. When this happens, residents may see a flame similar in size to the one burning at the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency on County Home Road.

Drones Have Arrived at Linn Coop!
With the rising interest in aerial applications done via drone, we’re happy to announce that Linn Coop has added two spray drones to our fleet!
This new technology has come a long way in the last few years and is still progressing extremely fast. At Linn Coop we are working diligently to keep up with the ever-changing technology and new techniques.
