Statement from Bruce Mattingly, owner of Team Automotive:
A video of me removing flyers from poles on my business property has recently gone viral. This video was taken prior to police involvement. Additional flyers have been posted, and I have not touched any nearby flyers, and should you come by, you will see that there are plenty still intact. I do regret my actions removing these flyers in front of grieving mothers and I apologize for any harm or additional grief that I may have caused.
I am asking the public to: stop calling, messaging, and harassing my employees who are not involved in this; stop commenting on another Bruce Mattingly’s Facebook account, I do not have a personal account and you are harassing a man with zero involvement; and to stop leaving negative reviews and harassing the neighboring businesses and individuals who also have zero involvement.
At this time, I cannot speak on employment status of the man accused and I have no personal involvement or details of the case. If you would like additional details, contact LMPD or the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
We offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of these girls, and anyone who has been impacted by acts of gun violence.
Thank you.
