Singer Vehicle Design The Porsche 911 Restored - Reimagined - Reborn Singer Vehicle Design was founded in 2009 to explore the creative possibilities in classic vehicle design.

We see our role as 21st Century coachbuilders dedicated to the passionate study, preservation and optimization of the world’s most respected high performance vehicles through modern techniques and unique and fresh perspectives. Our first design study was an attempt to present a restored and optimized, classic air-cooled Porsche 911 – in our view the most important sports car on the planet and wor

thy of such celebration both for its iconic status and the genius of the company that produced it. Our efforts were well received and we forged ahead with the necessary research and development to bring its features to a wider audience. We were pleased to share the news that barely a year after our debut, the first Singer modified vehicle was presented back to its owner in September 2010. Our work involves taking a customer’s existing vehicle and performing both restorative work and cutting edge modifications to update the car's performance, aesthetics and modern day useability in an attempt to optimize its strengths while preserving the essence and magic of the original. We see these restorative and modification procedures as a modest contribution to the recycling culture and a method of saving older vehicles from an uncertain fate. As our work evolves, we are proud to announce two important new partners in this process: the internationally renowned motorsport engineering powerhouse Cosworth will be our exclusive engine constructor, and the globally recognized Aria Group will provide state-of-the-art composite technology and world-class body preparation and painting artisanship. Such partnership brings new levels of sophistication, efficiency and reliability to our work. The engine in a Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe or Cabriolet Reimagined by Singer is a naturally aspirated, 4.0L flat six.

Developed by Singer with engineering from Cosworth, it features 4 valves per cylinder, air-cooled cylinders, water-cooled cylinder heads, variable valve timing for enhanced drivability, and an electrically powered fan, angled to optimize distribution of air across the cylinders.

The spirit of the 934.5 endurance racer, reimagined for the twenty-first century.  
 
This Porsche 911 has been restored through our DLS Turbo services. The personalisation includes a special asymmetric livery in blue and yellow, a 3.8L twin-turbo flat-six, electronic stability control and traction control developed with Bosch, carbon ceramic brakes and two bodywork configurations, for road or track-focused driving (if you look carefully you can see the rear wing).

Flat six on the dyno. 
 
A little while back we sent to Cosworth to take a look behind the scenes at the engine development programme for the 4.0L flat six that will power the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe and Cabriolet Reimagined by Singer. 
 
Developed in partnership with the famous engineering firm, the naturally aspirated evolution of the Type 964’s engine features 4 valves per cylinder, air-cooled cylinders, water-cooled cylinder heads, variable valve timing for enhanced drivability, and an electrically powered fan, angled to optimized distribution of air across the cylinders.

Shown here for the first time in both track and road-focused configurations, this car features carbon fiber bodywork in Turbo White, complemented by blue and yellow accents for intakes, vents, wheels and the rear spoiler. 
 
The asymmetric theme continues inside the car. Blue Alcantara and leather are specified along the left-hand side of the car, with contrasting yellow piping, seatbelts and sport mesh seat insert. The design is reversed along the righthand side, with yellow Alcantara and leather paired with blue piping, seatbelts and sport mesh seat insert. 
 
DLS Turbo services incorporate a twin-turbocharged, 9000rpm, 3.8L flat six, restored and developed by Singer, combining expertise in turbocharging with the remarkable engine developed through DLS services. 
 
The reborn flat six is based on the Type 964’s engine and develops 710HP (SAE net) and 750Nm of torque with 3.8L capacity, 4-valves per cylinder, twin turbochargers, water-cooled cylinder heads, air-cooled cylinders and an electrically powered horizontal fan. 
 
This Porsche 911 has been reimagined for its owner by our awesome team in the UK.

Inside, electrically adjustable sports seats are trimmed in Chocolate, with woven leather inserts combining Chocolate, Monarch Red, Ochre and Olive Green. 
 
The cabin features walnut accents, satin bronze trim, and lower interior surfaces trimmed in square weave carpet. 
 
Floating gauges have been specified, with a special sun motif in the boost gauge. 
 
This owner’s car has been restored through our Classic Turbo services, inspired by the iconic 930 Turbo of the mid-1970s. 
 
A 3.8L, twin-turbocharged flat six is combined with a manual six speed transmission for high-speed, luxury grand touring performance. 
 
This car is presented in New Indy Yellow, with wheel centres in Evergreen Terrace.

This car is named Helang and is painted in Gunmetal with Gentian Blue accents.
The interior features lightweight carbon fibre seats, trimmed in Royal Blue Alcantara.
Power comes from a 3.8L, twin-turbocharged flat six, featuring water-cooled cylinder heads and 4-valves per cylinder.
