1951 Jaguar XK120 OTS - 1 owner 37 years
This wonderful driving, UK home market matching numbers Jaguar XK120 OTS has been with its last owner for 37 years, HWS 900 was supplied new by Rossleigh in Scotland, first registered on the 1st March 1951 and we known from a ‘Green’ continuation logbook that the XK was owned by a Mr Robertson near Peebles in 1961. The Jaguar changed hands, staying local in nearby Biggar before coming into the hands of its long term owner, a Manchester based barrister in 1986.
The car was purchased after a 1980's restoration and forty years on since the rebuild, this XK presents as a lovely, aged older restoration. Since purchase in 1986, the long term owner has covered less than 5000 miles in the car but has kept it superbly maintained throughout ownership. In 1989 Stratton (Wilmslow) Ltd carried out major work to include replacing the rear crank seals and cosmetic work to include arranging bumper re-chroming. A firm called Cutting Edge also carried out work to the car in 1989, this included a new hood, sidescreens, window chromes, renewed seat frames and various new rubbers. In 1990 the XK was valued at £110,000-£115,000 telling us the high standards of the car all those years ago.

1960 AC Aceca
During the 1950s AC enlisted the aid of genius race chassis designer John Tojeiro in creating a sports car to boost sales of the AC marque. His subsequent creation was the Ace which appeared at Earls Court in 1953 with its tubular ladder type chassis with all round independent suspension by traverse springs - the first British sportscar to be thus equipped. The AC offered immense road holding and handling and the car could easily out pace many of its bigger rivals and it soon established an enviable reputation in sporting events around the World. The AC Aceca Coupe followed in 1954, a beautifully proportioned early example of a GT type body.

1937 MG TA Police Car
CTC 681 is a superb and capable example of an MG TA Police Car, restored in 2014 and equipped with both the XPAG engine (like the later MGTC) rather than the less powerful Morris twelve derived engine. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox providing relaxed cruising.
Originally purchased on the 13th of September 1937 by Lancashire Constabulary, this TA was first used in service with a certain Police Constable Greatrix, patrolling East Lancashire. Accompanying the car is a comprehensive file detailing the interesting history of the former MG Police Car, along with a stunning photo record of the thorough restoration carried out.

In 1946, this MG TA was taken out of service and sold to a private individual, also in Lancashire. It remained in Eccles, Lancashire for the next three years before moving to Liverpool with its next owner. The MG was off the radar throughout the 1950s and 60s but, emerged again in 1975, partly dismantled having been squirreled away in storage in Royton. In 2003, CTC 681 was removed from storage and went to an MG restorer who took the project on with plans to restore the car back to its former glory. Records from the car's time in service were uncovered and a rebuilt XPAG engine and 5-speed Type 9 gearbox were procured for the project. Time was the limiting factor for the restorer, and priority was given to his MG J2. It was therefore put back onto the market in 2014 as a part-completed project.

1954 Austin Healey 100/4 BN1
The ‘Healey Hundred’ was built to fuel Britain’s ‘export or die’ drive, so very few were sold into the home market. Just 1,030 were built at Longbridge in RHD, of which only around 500 stayed in the UK. Chassis BN1/153844 was supplied new through H. A. Saunders Ltd of Finchley in April 1954, finished in Healey Blue metallic with Blue upholstery. It has had just a handful of registered keepers before passing to its previous keeper in 1983 — a tenure of over 40 years. A letter on file from marque authority and author John Wheatley, dated December 1983, traces the car's earlier history. In 1993, H. Tindale Motors of Oldham was commissioned to restore the car, refinishing it in its factory colours as confirmed by a BMIHT certificate.

2018 Morgan Plus-8
The story behind the Plus 8 50th anniversary edition is as unique as the car itself. It goes that BMW stopped production of the V8 that is at the heart of the Plus 8. So that meant no more Aeros or the plus 8. BMW then approached MMC with a small batch of V8, which were snapped up and the Morgan Plus 8 50th anniversary edition was born, only 50 examples exist, they rarely come up for sale.
