I know this is always a debate in the Atv world but here it is…

You spend $3000-$6000 on a set of portals and it is suggested to run portal blood which has an extra additive to stick to the gears and protects them from water if you get water intrusion from rusting your gears.

Some people choose to go a little cheaper route and run gear oil. That does NOT stick to your gears and repel water.

Portal blood does not need changed often I change mine twice a year spring and fall and it comes out looking great.
